Dr Harriet Calvert

Harriet Calvert is a Finnish born Chartered Psychologist, Psychoanalyst (BPA, IPA) and Child Psychotherapist (BAP, ACP). She gained a first degree in Psychology from Brunel University and her doctorate also in Psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She trained as an Adult Psychotherapist at the London Centre for Psychotherapy and later as a Child Psychotherapist at the British Association for Psychotherapists. She is a member of the British Psychological Society and the British Psychoanalytic Council.

At present she is working as the Principal Child Psychotherapist for Maidenhead Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, Berkshire Healthcare Trust and is also in Private Practice.

Her research interests include cross-cultural issues in psychotherapy, the nature of the therapeutic relationship which was the subject of her doctoral thesis and the specific difficulties faced by children of mentally ill parents, which has been the subject of a recent paper which she co-authored.
