The main aims of the Charity as stated in the constitution are:

  • The relief of persons suffering from psychological impact of trauma in Sri Lanka caused, in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the forgoing, by the civil conflict, by the provision of direct aid and training.
  • The preservation and protection of public health in Sri Lanka.

We intend to realise these aims by:

  • Raising awareness in Sri Lanka about the psychological sequelae of trauma.
  • Helping professionals, individuals and groups in Sri Lanka in their efforts to minimise the psychological impact of trauma.
  • Channelling expertise and other resources available in the UK and the West to help in these efforts.
  • Maximising the impact of efforts by individuals to help by co-ordination.
