The UK - Sri Lanka Trauma Group is a UK based charity originally set up in 1996
Comprising of Sri Lankan and British mental health professionals to address the Psychological impact of trauma in Sri Lanka, caused in particular by the civil conflict, through direct non-partisan aid and training with all communities in Sri Lanka. In collaboration with a number of professional individuals and organisations in Sri Lanka, the Group has embarked on a long-term programme of work.
To help Sri Lanka ameliorate the psychological impact of trauma by:
Working towards increasing awareness
Influencing policy development
Helping to increase the skills of front-line workers in Sri Lanka
